I've found recipies like this that use gelatin or agar agar and was pleased to see your response on sugar variations. I was wondering if you tried to make this recipie above and was wondering if you made an alternate version?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5663404276164779569.post-19072741189654946802008-10-22T14:26:00.000-07:002008-10-22T14:26:00.000-07:00Mother Bliss,I'm so glad you have this recipe! So...Mother Bliss,
I'm so glad you have this recipe!
Something else that may interest you, are different sugars and their glycemic indexes. (if you don't know what that is, you should google it for a good definition- a little too in depth for this) High fructose corn syrup and the artificial sweeteners used in sugar free jellos will give your husband more of a "sugar crash" because of their higher GI, than the brown rice syrups used in shot blocks. The lower the GI, the less of a crash the body will experience. Maybe try using stevia or blue agave nectar, both very low on the GI scale, to sweeten your recipe.

I'm going to try making my own this weekend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
