Chinese by a Japanese

Chinese food was on the menu for dinner tonight. Usually I make sweet and sour pork (David's favorite) and broccoli beef (my favorite), but thought I'd try some different recipes.
Still had some gyoza left over so we started off with some wonton soup.
Cha Siu (Chinese BBQ pork) is really good and quite simple too.
I use this sauce, and marinade it overnight. Then just bake in the oven. The whole house smelled like a Chinese market. I'm hoping there will be enough cha siu leftover so I can try making cha siu buns!
I know it's not Chinese, but I like to make pancit. It's Asian (Philipino), so it's still all the same, right? Mine's not too fancy, just the noodles with carrots, celery, and cilantro, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sesame oil. Tastes really good with some lemon juice squeezed on it.

Tried a new dish, Chinese Green Beans. Not strong flavored as I had thought, but it was nice and light to counter the rest of the meal.

Also tried making orange chicken. I haven't been too happy with the store bought sauces so I found a recipe online. Flavor was alright, but the sauce was a little too thick so it was a little hard mixing it with the chicken. But I got a thumbs up from Emi!

haha, I make pancit about twice a month. It is a filipino dish. You can make it with bihon noodles (the ones you used) or canton (big yellow noodles) but I'm not much of a fan for those because to me, they're a bit salty. Mine is really simple as well. carrots, celery, green beans (french cut), and occasionally green onions thrown in at the end. Never tried cilantro before. I haven't done fish sauce or sesame oil, but I have cooked it with a bit of oyster sauce. Very yummy! lol I'm interested in the pork you made as most of my family loves that, and for me, I'm really interested in that green bean dish. LOVE green beans. lol
