What is This?

I was surfing the net and came across a page that said this. It was the first time I've ever seen such a thing.

The End of the Internet
Congratulations! This is the last page.Thank you for visiting the End of the Internet. There are no more links. You must now turn off your computer and go do something productive. Go read a book, for pete's sake.

That's odd. It sounds like whoever made that page assumed that being on the internet and being productive are mutually exclusive. We both know that's crazy! I tried out the bread recipe you shared with me. It was great! Thank you. I'm trying out another recipe today for crusty French bread that I thought was interesting - it calls for semolina flour and chickpea flour in addition to the bread flour, and also a smidge of vinegar. I just happened to have all of that in my kitchen, so I'm trying it out. It's rising now. I'll post it if it's any good!

I don't know who polliwoggy is, but I like this person already. You sound as industrious as Yumi - you had all that in your kitchen already. I've got flour and bread flour. So, what's the link to the end of the internet - nevermind, i don't want to go there. I'm gonna surf forever! Lots to look at. I don't have TV, but this is worse.

I was surprised to see this myself. I was trying to link Google Reader to my blog, and it led me to this. Sure, time spent surfing might seem like a waste of time, but it's what you do with the information that makes a difference. I don't think I'd be cooking/baking as much if I didn't have access to recipes and ideas off the web.

Thanks, Mary! I don't feel industrious, I feel like I have too much in my little kitchen. But I guess it comes in handy sometimes. And yes, you do know me, believe it or not! Come over and visit my page, once you see my picture you'll remember that trip to Park City and the Christmas party where I saw you last. It's nice to see you again, albeit virtually.

And I agree, I definitely wouldn't be cooking as much (or nearly as well) without the resources on the internet. This information is valuable! And tasty! :)

Polliwoggy, I told Mary who you are. She'll connect the dots...
